The Tibetan enclave of Nupri, north of Manaslu at the head of the Buri Gandaki, was closed to foreigners for years on account of its proximity to Tibet. The area was surreptitiously opened in 1991, but it took several years for the word to get out.
On this attractions include; the legendary town Gorkha, the Himalayan range of anaslu, the village of Midhill and their peoples, and terraces of crops field. This area is less visited and is a restricted area of Nepalese Government as it is in the fragile land of Larkya pass.
