Trekking in the Annapurna Region

The trekking trails in the Annapurna Region will take you through lush green foothills, windswept desert-like plateaus, natural hot springs, glaciers, deep gorges, rivers, rapids, alpine meadows, barren lands, ancient trade routes, villages, temples and lamaseries; giving you ample grounds to understand the Himalayan natives and their way of life.

The Annapurna range incorporating Annapurna I, II, III, IV and Annapurna South along with Mt. Dhaulagiri and the stunning Machupachre (Fish –Tail Mountain) are some of the major peaks you can view during your trek in the Annapurna Region. Places like Manang, Ghorepani, Poonhill, Mustang, Jomsom, Thorong -La pass, Kali Gandaki gorge and many more are also there for you to discover. Almost all treks to the Annapurna Region originate from the valley of Pokhara, famous not only for its serene lake but also for broad choice of hotels and guest-houses, interesting places to visit and activities to take part in.

Annapurna Circuit Trekking

The Annapurna Circuit is a circular loop around the Annapurna Region. The circuit can usually be covered on foot in 18 days. However this trek can be customised to suit your needs and can be shortened to 14 days by flying to and from Pokhara before and after the trek, or extended to include one or more of the many side-trips that can be formed using only a part of the circuit and then heading to different fascinating destinations like Ghorepani, Jomsom and Annapurna Base Camp.
